Area Muslims Plan To Meet With Federal Agents

Frustrated with feeling singled out while traveling, area Muslims are meeting tomorrow with federal agents to air their complaints.

Representatives from the US Attorney's office and FBI and TSA agents will go over travel guidelines at a forum at the Grand Mosque in Parma.

Islamic Center of Cleveland spokesman Shehadeh Abdelkarim says his community is abuzz with travel horror stories and hopes to ease anxiety.

"We need to understand what the government is doing," he says. "How do they initiate investigation, how do they initiate screening? Is it totally random that somebody gets to be stuck in the airport for eight hours, or was there a trigger to it?"

Abdelkarim also says the forum will go over steps someone people can take to report problems.
