Shuffle Along was one of the first all-black musicals to reach Broadway, and was enormously successful.  It opened in 1921 and ran for 504 performances, with music and lyrics by Eubie Blake and Noble Sissle. The Musical Theater Project and Karamu House combined talents in 2018 to perform the music and set the entire history in context.  We talk with Bill Rudman and Tony Sias about the collaboration, available now on the Karamu website.
