What: Tech and Trek Conference

The Tech and Trek Conference is an opportunity for all educators (K-Higher Ed) to explore The Mindful use of Technology, Mobile Technology, Creating High-Impact Student Experiences, and Innovations in Teaching and Learning.

This is an educational technology conference that spans three days and two nights on the beautiful campus of Hiram College.  At the conference, you will…

  • Form and sustain a collaborative bridge for higher ed and K-12 educators and technologists.
  • Participate in an ongoing dialogue between higher ed and K -12 educators and technologists regarding the mindful use of technology.
  • Reflect on effective technology in learning abilities.
  • Explore the possibilities of mobile technology for learning experiences outside of the traditional classroom.

When:  June 19-21, 2019

How Much:

Before May 15, $350 for individuals or $1,600 for a group of 5. After May 15, $375 for individuals or $1,725 for a group of 5.

Cost includes:

  • 3 days and 2 nights in a private room at a campus townhouse (first 100 registrants). Dormitory accommodations for additional registrants. You may opt to commute and not stay in campus housing. However, the conference cost will remain the same.
  • All meals and beverages: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners and snacks... and a conference t-shirt!
  • Sessions led by dynamic educators and technologists

Wednesday, June 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (includes lunch)

$60 - Bring your own iPad or iPad Pro or borrow one of ours.

$1,350 - includes iPad Pro, keyboard, Apple pencil, and lunch


Google Certification

Tuesday, June 18, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday, June 19, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (includes lunch)

Friday, June 21, 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

$230 - Includes 12-hours of training, lunch on Day 1 and the option to take your Google Exam. Participants pay Google directly for their own exam, approximately $15.


Go Pro Training

Wednesday, June 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

$275 – includes GoPro Hero Waterproof, 1080p HD Video and 10PMP Photos and accessory kit and lunch.

Grad credit available for an additional cost for conference and Google Certification.
