Election Day is here. There are several important races that voters will be weighing in on today until polls close at 7:30 tonight. The big ticket item in Cleveland is the race to replace Frank Jackson as mayor after 16 years. The two candidates facing off today are nonprofit executive Justin Bibb and Cleveland City Council President Kevin Kelley. But there are many other important races all over Northeast Ohio, from other mayoral races to city council elections to congressional races to school board races to important ballot issues like Issue 24, which if passed, would strengthen oversight over Cleveland's police department.

Today on the "Sound of Ideas" we spoke about Ideastream's Election Day coverage with Senior Reporter and Host of the After Jackson Podcast, Nick Castele.

We were also joined by our mulitple media producer Gabriel Kramer who went out into the field to Ward 3 to talk to some voters this morning. He joined us from the Franklin Circle Christian Church in Ohio City.

Later this hour, we're hear a bonus Election Day episode of After Jackson.

And, we spoke to WKSU reporter Kabir Bhatia about some of his recent Halloween-related reporting, including uncovering the mystery behind a haunted section of Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
