Northeast Ohioan is one of President Biden's top climate policy advisors

In 2021, when President Biden was stepping into the White House, he was doing so with the most ambitious climate agenda of any President.

He was also doing so with the largest team of climate experts, to ever set foot in The White House.

The challenges ahead of that team are daunting - from tackling global warming, to repairing global partnerships with other leading industrialized nations, to re-staffing federal organizations that were gutted by the previous administration. The team assembled by the administration is a diverse one, and one of the top advisors calls Northeast Ohio home.

Sonia Aggarwal grew up in the region, attending Laurel School, before moving away to acquire degrees at Haverford College, and Stanford.

Sonia will be in Cleveland tomorrow, to speak at this week's City Club Friday Forum. She's also in town the help promote the Council of International Programs USA, or CIPUSA - there's organizing professional exchange programs in the climate policy field.
