They've been joined by a host of other in-home diagnostic tests, including those that screen for colon cancer symptoms and human papilloma virus. Beyond convenience, a new Ohio State University study suggests, home testing can save lives.
In OSU's study, researchers mailed HPV tests to women in Appalachia, where access to healthcare can be difficult. Eighty percent completed the screening, increasing odds of early detection of cervical cancer. And we'll take your questions about do-it-yourself screening.
