Cuyahoga Prosecutors Race, Language Access, and Japanese Culture

Most of us speak, read and write English fluently. It’s the language we grew up with, it’s everywhere in Northeast Ohio. But how do non-English speakers get around in our community? From an economic and population growth perspective, it matters that the region is welcoming and accessible to new Clevelanders. On The Sound of Ideas, we'll look at efforts of some organizations like the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court to make their websites more accessible, by adding Google Translate. We’ll discuss services available to access medical care and education in the region like Metrohealth’s Language Access center, Esperanza and Global Cleveland. Plus, a look at the first debate by the two Cuyahoga County prosecutor candidates held by City Club.
