Credit Invisibility

One in ten Americans is credit invisible. That means they have no credit history because they've never used credit. Another 19 million have such thin credit reports that arriving at a credit score is impossible. In some ways, it can be worse to have no credit history than a bad one. The Plain Dealer's Sheryl Harris is with us on this edition of The Sound of Ideas to talk about the drawbacks of credit invisibility, and what can be done about it. Originally aired May 19, 2015.
