99-Year-Old French Jewish Woman Spied On Nazis During WWII

Marthe Cohn has an incredible story to share and she kept it a secret most of her life. Now, at 99, Cohn has a packed schedule traveling the world to tell her story of courage and bravery as a French jew who spied on the Nazis in Germany in World War II.

Cohn grew up in an Orthodox jewish home in France, became a nurse, and joined the French Army after the liberation of Paris. She spoke fluent German and found herself in the intelligence unit, eventually assigned to spy on the Nazis. She provided crucial information to the Allies that helped shorten the war and saved many lives. Cohn wrote about her experience in 2002 in the book: "Behind Enemy Lines" and she's in Cleveland to speak to a sold-out crowd at the Maltz Performing Arts Center at Case Western Reserve University. She is being hosted by the Chabad House. Mike McIntyre interviewed her ahead of the event at the Sky Lounge at One University Circle, which is hosting her during her visit.
