NewsDepth 2021-2022 | Episode 29

In this week's episode, we talk about weather and climate.

Gabe whips through a whirlwind of tornado history in our state.

Next, the wildfire season started earlier this year in the southwest part of the country.

Finally, engineers find inspiration in Japanese art.

Weather (noun): Short term conditions in an area.

Climate (noun): Average weather in a specific region over a longer period of time.

Fahrenheit (adjective): A scale used to measure temperature.

Scarcity (noun): There is not enough of an item to cover demand.

For this week’s write-in, we want you to give us examples of “how can art help solve a problem?”

You can use the  inbox form to submit your answers.

We cover how the state of California has new restrictions for water usage, and that got us curious to know “What do you do to conserve water at home?”. You can choose from: “turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth,” “avoiding taking long showers,” “only running the dishwasher when it’s full” or “not overwatering your lawn.” Remember to choose all the options that you do.
