Inbox: What changes in behavior have you noticed due to COVID-19?

In our last episode before spring break, we learned how Italians were changing their behavior due to COVID-19. We wanted to know what changes in behavior you noticed due to COVID-19 in your own community. Here are some of your great responses:

Emma, Monfort Heights Elementary School, Cincinnati: I have noticed that there has been constant shortages of food and essentials we use every day like paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, and much more. I noticed that people have started to be way more cautious on staying healthy. I have also noticed that they're aren't as many people on the streets walking.

Ava, Saint Susanna School in Mason: Recently, I have noticed people wearing masks outside. Also, people are not getting any closer that almost three feet apart. In stores, toilet paper, soap, food, and so many other things are disappearing! Also, any social gatherings are being cancelled. I mean, even huge sporting events are being cancelled! To be completely honest, COVID-19 is making the entire world go crazy! I knew that all of this was going to happen eventually, but I didn't think it would be so soon.

Cassidy, Goshen Elementary in Waynesfield: I have noticed that people are being more cautious than usually. People are stocking up. They are also cleaning more often than normal. Family are staying away from other families that have the corona virus or have allergies. People are also staying away from public places. That is what has changed the behavior in most people.

Houston, Maryland Elementary in Bexley: I have noticed that people have been going on more walks, playing  more games, and spending more time with their family.  I have also noticed that people are washing their hands much more often, especially when you get home from somewhere.  Everyone has been asked to keep "social distance" of 6-10 feet apart and schools are closed for now.  Many people have been stocking up on groceries, toilet paper and paper towels.

Rafael, Olmsted Falls Intermediate School in Olmsted Falls: Some different changes that have occurred in my city is that our school has closed do to Covid-19. A lot of us are missing our friends because they had to shut down our school. Another thing is travel my cousin was going to come home this weekend from California but he couldn't because of the virus. My basketball league has been postponed or canceled, a lot of things have been shutdown or postponed until further notice which they should just give us a date so we dont have to sit here and worry when can we do this or that again.
