Inbox: Tell us about your favorite teacher and why they are special to you!

Last week, we asked you to tell us your favorite teacher and why. Here's what you had to say about your terrific teachers!

Kassidy, Berea Midpark Middle School in Berea: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Kraft, when I was at Grindstone Elementary she supported me when my grandpa died because she new that he was my best friend. She also didn't mind when I would take a break and go to the counselor's office. Also, when I broke my pinky, she didn't mind that my hand writing was sloppy. That is why she is my favorite teacher.

Jack, Crestview Elementary in Brunswick: My favorite teacher is Ms. Thomason because she is nice and sweet to every single kid and helps them when they need help. Also, she is supportive of every single kid and she will help you when you'rr struggling and gives you extra credit and has fun activities. Next, she could be a little harsh but that’s only because she wants you to improve. In conclusion, she is just a good teacher in all.

Kendall, McCormick Middle School in Wellington: My favorite teacher is Mrs.Birchfield. She is my favorite teacher because she has a lot of fun activities for us to do. A couple days before Valentines Day, we played a game. It was really fun. we would get to pick a prize if you got that number. She usually has a fun activity for us to do. She is also really nice. That is my favorite teacher.

Alyssa, Sherwood Elementary School in Cincinnati: My favorite teacher in Sherwood Elementary is Mr. Hampton! He is so funny and makes learning so much fun! He writes funny songs and plays them on his guitar about the third graders having smelly feet or about the smiley french fries that we have for lunch! And he made up a story that continued throughout the year called "Fraction Robot." The characters in the story were the names of the students in the room. This story taught us about fractions and other kinds of math. Everyday I would come in excited to find out what happened next in the story. He also always made sure that nobody was left out! At the beginning of the year, there wasn't enough school supplies for me and I didn't have anything for the first day. The next day, Mr. Hampton came in with school supplies that he brung for me! Over all, he is just the best teacher you could possibly ever get and I am grateful that I had the chance to learn from him!

Gavin, Hull Prairie Intermediate in Perrysburg: My favorite teacher at my school I think would be Mr. Roach. I say this because I love math, the fun games we play, and really everything we do. Mr. Roach also has a funny nickname for me, which is Catman, because I own a cat. Also, in homeroom last year, for math, on a day where we couldn't go outside for recess, we would play a corn-hole tournament. That's why Mr. Roach is my favorite teacher.
