Inbox: How are you staying positive during the pandemic?

Last week, we asked you to tell us your best tips for staying positive while you’re stuck at home. Here's what you had to say!

Marley, Summit Road STEM Elementary School in Reynoldsburg: "Well in my opinion there is nothing better than playing with my pet ferret. This is because a pet is someone you can talk too. They always listen and are there for you. I also like to bake and do crafts. Like who does not want a freshly baked cookie when you are feeling down and dreary. But most importantly we should remember what we still have. Yes we may not have the movies, and Yes we may be homebound, But we have the most important thing in the world. . . . Family, and Friendship. and that will help us conquer this horrible circumstance."

Chase, Grant Elementary School in Lakewood: "Well, my best theory which sounds kinda boring to most people, is playing games. Most games give you a chance to talk to your friends so you don't have to be bored, and even the parents could play the games their kids are playing to see what's so bad about what they're playing."

Olivia, Olmsted Falls Intermediate in Olmsted Falls: "My best tips for staying positive while you are stuck at home is to stay busy.  One good thing to do is to play with pets if you have any.  Another good thing to do is to stay in touch with friends by Face timing, texting or talking on the phone. You also could do Art while you're stuck at home.  My last important tip is to stay physical active."

Brittany, Lee Eaton Elementary School in Northfield: "I don't look at it as being stuck at home. We can use this time to spend more time with our families. We are always on the go and don't ever seem to have enough family time. It's also a good opportunity to get caught up on things that we may have fallen behind on or haven't had the chance to do."

Amelia, Emerson Elementary School in Westerville: "Playing in my back yard with my brothers makes me happy and sometimes if I miss my friends we will drive by their house. These are some of my tips on staying positive."
