Time to spotlight some of your great work with this week's A+, and we're giving the award to a student who has big dreams, and the work ethic to match them.
Milan Teague is a fifth grader at Fairfax Elementary School in Cleveland Heights. She was nominated by teacher Ms. Glasier, who told us Milan sells jewelry in order to fund her participation in track events.
Milan has a lot of support from her family. Together with her dad, she started a bead company called Milan Bead Company. She sells her bracelets and necklaces at craft shows.
She's been competing in track for at least four years. She runs in the 100, 200, and 400-meter races. Ms. Glasier tells us when she asked Milan about the future, Milan said she hopes to run in the Olympics one day.
Her teacher, Ms. Glasier writes, "I think Milan's entrepreneurial spirit and athletic ambition makes her an outstanding candidate for the A+ award on NewsDepth."
We sure are excited to see where all that spirit and ambition take her. We're also excited to give Milan this week's NewsDepth A+.
