Shoreway Construction Approaches Completion

Newly planted trees along a raised median have replaced dozens of traffic cones that took residence on Cleveland's West Shoreway for months as commuters from western suburbs grumbled about the closed lanes, and reduced speed along the route.

As part of a $100 million renovation, construction crews worked to transform the Shoreway, into more of a boulevard.

Now nearing completion, many changes are evident -- including access to West 73rd Street; and a 35 miles per hour speed limit.
