From an acclaimed documentary to a virtual birthday bash to an insider tour of the Rock Hall, there's a whole lot of online offerings going on. Here are five virtual arts events to check out from Northeast Ohio artists and arts and culture organizations this week.
Cleveland Cinematheque
On Friday, March 5, the Cleveland Cinematheque debuts the documentary " Stray" in its virtual multiplex. The film follows a stray dog named Zeytin through the streets of Istanbul in what's been hailed as "virtuosic" and a "love letter to dogs."
Canton Palace Theatre
The Canton Palace Theatre screens " Mighty Like a Moose" on its Facebook page Friday, March 5, at 7 p.m. Organist Jay Spencer will accompany the short silent film from 1926 starring Charley Chase.
Talespinner Children's Theatre
" The Girl Who Swallowed A Cactus" is the latest virtual production from Talespinner Children's Theatre. TCT's company of actors stage the show live bringing a unique spin to each performance March 5-14.
Cleveland Museum of Natural History
This month the Cleveland Museum of Natural History hosts Balto's Birthday Bash for its beloved sled dog with a series of virtual events. Tuesday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m., is Family Trivia Night with the Siberian Husky Club of Greater Cleveland.
National Council of Jewish Women/Cleveland
