A recent Kentucky Department for Public Health investigation found multiple infections associated with vaccines given since September 1, 2018, in certain locations in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana.
Symptoms include redness, pain, and hard lumps at the injection site. Kentucky health officials think the infections are linked to contamination from improper storage and handling. They recommend that anyone vaccinated by Location Vaccination seek medical evaluation and care. Even if there is no infection, they also warn that the vaccines administered by this company may not be effective, leaving a person unprotected from the flu and other vaccine-preventable diseases.
Location Vaccination has stopped giving immunizations, but individuals may experience symptoms more than 12 weeks after vaccination, according to a news release from the Kentucky Department for Public Health. The Department says the company is “operated by Fairshinda Sabounchi McLaughlin under the medical license of Dr. Paul E. McLaughlin.”
The cities in Ohio where Location Vaccination worked with businesses to provide vaccines include the following:
- Greenville, OH
- Dayton, OH
- Georgetown, OH
- Norwood, OH
- Cincinnati, OH
- Columbus, OH
- Circleville, OH
- St. Bernard, OH
- Pike County, OH
- Beech Hollow, OH
- Mansfield, OH
