Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced Tuesday that the Walker Cleveland Community COVID-19 testing site will close due to decreasing testing demand.
The last day of testing will be Sunday, Jan. 23, according to a media release from the governor’s office.
Nearly 25,000 people have been tested at the site in University Circle since it opened on Dec. 21, the release said.
The National Guard members that staffed the site will be deployed to areas in Central and Southern Ohio that are seeing an increased need for testing, including Athens, Pomeroy and Jackson.
Testing appointments are still available at the Walker location at 10524 Euclid Ave.You must register online to make an appointment.
