ideastream Names Mark A. Rosenberger as Chief Content Officer

CLEVELAND, Ohio (March 1, 2018) — ideastream has named Mark A. Rosenberger as its first Chief Content Officer. ideastream is the parent company of WVIZ/PBS, 90.3 WCPN and WCLV 104.9 ideastream. Starting on March 5, Rosenberger will serve on the executive leadership team as the editor-in-chief leading strategic implementation, planning and development of all content produced and presented for ideastream audiences. He will lead multiple media units for innovative content creation across television, radio and digital platforms. Rosenberger will develop and maintain strategic partnerships to enhance ideastream content, expand the reach of content, establish operational efficiencies and strengthen branding.

Previously, Rosenberger was Managing Editor, Content at ideastream overseeing content and programs related to community affairs, health, arts and culture, science and education. For WVIZ/PBS, he served as Director of Production & Local Programming and as Executive Producer. He joined WVIZ/PBS from Scripps-Howard Broadcasting where he was News/Special Projects Producer. His start in broadcasting was as a news producer for WHP CBS 21 Harrisburg and WHP 580 in Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications/Radio, TV, Film from Messiah College/Temple University.

“Mark is an award-winning executive with extensive credits and experience in leading content creation and management. He is well known nationally for multiple media content innovation,” said Kit Jensen, Chief Operating Officer at ideastream. “His exemplary work has included the seminal joint project between WVIZ/PBS and 90.3 WCPN that led to early discussions about the collaboration to create ideastream; the notable A Quiet Crisis, a three-year project with The Plain Dealer that focused on economic challenges facing Northeast Ohio; national television documentaries such as Violins of Hope and the recent 2018 joint collaboration with The Cleveland Orchestra, The Martin Luther King Celebration Concert.”

Rosenberger resides in Willoughby, Ohio where he and his wife, Jackie, are active in civic and church affairs.
