According to a new survey by the Pew Forum of Religion & Public Life, more than 40 percent of Americans have left the faith of their childhood. Where have they gone? Well, the Evangelical movement is seeing its ranks swell, Catholics are holding even, despite a steady tide of departures, and many protestant denominations are swapping members.
