The Benefits of Forgiveness

The holidays don't always look like Hallmark cards. Instead of bringing gifts, some family members come bearing grudges. Forgive and forget. Sounds simple; but even a wound that heals leaves a scar. What does it mean to forgive? Christians are told to turn the other cheek. Jews stress atonement. And we're finding out forgiveness has benefits beyond the moral and ethical.
