The Indians open at home against the Chicago White Sox on Monday afternoon. Cy Young winner CC Sabathia will get the start for the tribe. This is a big year, coming off their trip to the American League Champion Series, where they lost to the Boston Red Sox in seven games. So, for everyone who has been distracted by politics during spring training, what did we miss? How did the team look in the exhibition games? The roster is largely the same as it was during the playoffs, but are there any minor leaguers who we can expect to make appearances and would be worth watching for? Last year’s bullpen was a marked improvement over 2006, so, how does the pitching look this year? Will it be strong enough to overpower the Tigers lineup, which has been favored to dominate the American League Central Division? And, of course, will they start strong against the White Sox and in their first road trip—against Oakland and LA? Join us for a conversation about the 2008 Indians.
