How Young for Sex Education?

It's radical. It's daring. It's sure to cause controversy. No surprise - it involves sex. Just when do you prep children for what comes after the first kiss? Subjects like disease, and pregnancy, and abuse? Is third grade too young? First grade? What if the schools wanted to start instruction of the birds and the bees in kindergarten?
