How far would you go to prevent a heart attack? Or prevent a second heart attack? Would you go vegan? One former heart patient, Jane Temple, is glad she did. "By America's standards, my diet is extreme, but it's a really small price to pay for health. I've been 20 years out of my (quadruple bypass) surgery."
On the Sound of Ideas, a Cleveland Clinic heart surgeon has conducted a 20-year study indicating people can prevent--even reverse--heart disease by replacing all meats and fats with plants, fruits and whole grains. Most doctors, however, continue to recommend moderation. Join us for the conversation Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.
