The diagnosis is cancer. The treatment includes yoga, meditation, perhaps a soothing massage. And, of course, traditional approaches, such as chemo-therapy and radiation. A growing field of cancer care known as integrative oncology combines traditional treatment with proven complementary alternatives. We'll learn how it's being used at major hospitals and what research is being done to prove its effectiveness, Tuesday at 9:00 on the Sound of Ideas.

Guests

Dr. Jeff White, director, Office of Cancer Complementary and Alternative Medicine, National Cancer Institute
Helen Moss, founder of the Helen Moss Cancer Research Foundation
Dr. Gregory Plotnikoff, Senior Consultant, Integrative Medicine, Allina Center for Health Care Innovation
Dr. Dale Cowan, oncologist, Cleveland Clinic, CWRU
