Campus Activism

Over the past year few years, stories of racism on college campuses and the perceived lack of university response has caused a wave of young people to take matters into their own hands. Students at the University of Missouri brought down two members of the campus administration by boycotting the student union and refusing to play a lucrative football game. Colleges across the country like Yale, University of Southern California and Ohio State have organized sit-ins, die-ins and protests in support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement and against discrimination that they see on colleges every day. We’ll talk to students fighting for diversity on their campuses and take a look at the national trend of college activism, on the Sound of Ideas.
