This week we learned about a school putting items into a time capsule, and asked you what things would YOU include?

Markia, Snow School: If I could add 1 item in a time capsule, I would add my math test. It would be cool because I can see how good I did in school in seventh grade in Mrs. Bockmor's class. It would be interesting to see what math is like in the future, because there are new ways of doing math now. I would like to add my math test also because math problems always have a correct answer, but so many different ways to solve them.

Emma, W-E School of Innovation: In my time capsule I would put a note talking all about my school year as a 4th grader. Here's what I would write: "Hi! Its probably 2030 by now but I wrote this note in 2018. You are probably wondering what tech is like. Well, the VR headset was just invented and ROBLOX is a huge thing along with the Sims 4. Right now you most likely have the Sims 7 and 3D ROBLOX, but I bet it's really fun and exciting! Right now I'm probably in med school because I want to be a doctor and cure cancer! Anyway, school is amazing. We have Chromebooks that we can use to play sumdog and other fun math and ELA games! Goodbye! P.S. my favorite teacher is all of you!

Keegan, New Bremen Local Schools: If I had a time capsule I would put a picture of an iPhone because maybe in the future, they could have some type of cool holographic phone, or maybe even a chip that could be inserted, and become your chip-like phone! I wonder if there could even be floating devices to act as your phone. I bet the person who would open the capsule would be very surprised to see what device that even is! Of course the future could have endless possibilities, so who knows!

Kendall and Laynee, Jackson Center: We would put a Chromebook that would include today's popular music, books and games. We would also bookmark today's news websites to tell them what it is like now. We would make our wallpaper have pictures to show what people would wear and styles today. A Chromebook is the item we would include in our time capsule.

Meghan: St. Peter School: If I could put one item in a time capsule to represent what it is like to be a student today, I would put a note inside of the time capsule that says, today being a student is really cool, because at my school we have active boards which are connected to the teachers computer. It is really cool. We also switch classrooms and go to other classes. Also we have clubs after school like lego club, lego robotics club, book club, drama club, and chess club. Although maybe a few times we might have band after school. I think it is all so cool and I am pretty sure it is fun also.

Gabi, Ranger High Tech Academy: If I could put one item in a time capsule to represent what it's like to be a student today, I would put in my PBL project build, which is an insulating container. I would put that in because it shows what it's like to be a STEM student today. I would also put that in because it shows how STEM students do projects. People could compare how people in the future do projects to how we did projects to how we do projects today.
