PUCO To Hold Hearings On Rate Hikes

Ohioans have an opportunity to sound off about how their local electric company did during the recent wind storm and power outages.

The Public Utilities Commission is holding hearings across the state on what amounts to rate hike requests from major electric companies, and a separate consumer advocate agency is encouraging residential customers to show up and testify.

Ryan Lippe speaks for the Office of Consumers Counsel. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Bill Cohen, Lippe says customers should feel free to give their views not only the prospect of paying more, but also on how their power company performed during the outages.
