Peggy Gish Interview

For more than a year now, seemingly every national newscast carries word of Iraq. Yet, many people still don't know that much about the Middle-Eastern Nation. Peggy Gish of Athens wasn't going to allow herself to be one of those people. She wanted to know what their suffering entailed and wanted to help them. So, in the past 18 months - 11 of them in Iraq - she has worked to assist Iraqis. But what this Southern Ohioan never anticipated was being witnesses to the results of atrocities which now dominate headlines: the alleged abuses committed by American soldiers. Gish met with ideastream's Rick Jackson last week, just before she spoke to a group of students at Bedford's St. Peter Chanel High School as part of the Wheels of Justice program.
