The philanthropic collaboration `Fund for Our Economic Future' has named ten finalists competing for this year's edition of the EfficientGovNow awards.
The following list of projects was released Friday morning.

(Lake County) A Better Approach for Our Fire Departments to Help the Public
(Ashtabula County) Planning Collaborative
(Stark County) Countywide 9-1-1 Dispatch Center
(Trumbull County) Coordinated Geographical Information System (GIS) Sharing and Data Collection
GIS Cooperative for Small Communities and Utilities - including City of Geneva in Ashtabula County; City of Columbiana, Buckeye Water District in Columbiana County; Village of Lakemore in Summit County; Village of Carrollton in Carroll County; Village of Wellington in Lorain County
(Cuyahoga County) Better than Margarita Salt! Broadview Heights, North Royalton, Independence and Brecksville join together to create system to increase safety, decrease cost and improve the environment

To be eligible for consideration, the projects had to meet baseline criteria, including that each project involve at least two governmental partners, be ready for implementation, demonstrate how it could be replicated by others and describe the ways it would reinvest the cost savings to promote economic growth in the region.
