Cleveland State University has received its largest donation in the school's 47-year history.
The man behind the $10 million gift--entrepreneur Monte Ahuja--developed the business model for his company Transtar while a graduate student at CSU. He was honored today at CSU's student center.
Ron Weinberg, chairman of CSU's Board of Trustees, said he wants Monte Ahuja's influence to be more than financial.
WEINBERG: "I'm hoping Monte will remain as a guardian angel to the university, particularly the college of business and help it fulfill its destiny in the same way he did with his own companies."
The business school will now be named the Monte Ahuja College of Business. 80 percent of the $10 million donation will go to scholarships for business and engineering students.
