CLEVELAND, Ohio (November 20, 2018) — ideastream, Northeast Ohio’s innovative multiple media organization and parent company of WVIZ/PBS, 90.3 WCPN and WCLV 104.9, has named Christian Siebeneck as Chief Technologist. Beginning on December 1, Siebeneck will serve in his new role on the senior management team of ideastream overseeing media and information technology, broadcast and digital distribution, engineering, facilities and infrastructure services.

Previously, Siebeneck served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer for GreatWave Communications, a regional telecommunications company providing telephone, internet and cable television services.

Siebeneck began his career at Progressive Insurance working in the company’s enterprise technology group. He then transitioned to The Conneaut Telephone Company where he led the technical customer support center and directed the telephone and data services unit. “I am very excited to join the talented team of professionals at ideastream. Technology is an ever-evolving space that requires constant adaption to the latest information consumption trends. ideastream is an innovator with technology, promoting continued growth and allowing for the delivery of programming in new ways,” said Siebeneck. “I am thrilled to be a part of an organization that positively impacts the community though its culturally relevant and educational programs.”
